This is M31 or most commonly known as the Andromeda Galaxy. It is our closest neighboring galaxy and is only a few thousand light years away. Take a minute to look at it in all it’s glory! I’m on IG @bryangoffphoto Stop by and say hi!

First Milkyway panorama - taken outside Brisbane, Australia 4 images horizontally, with 9 photos at each spot for the sky (stacked+median blending). Side-topic: The small structures in the right-center come from the nearby graveyard. I drove 45 mins out of the city to a deserted spot that was directly adjacent to a graveyard. It was really creppy to be standing in the middle of nowehre next to an old graveyard? Every weird sound caused me to turn on my torch and shine it around checking for lurking serial killers.

Here’s a shot I captured using an iOptron SkyTracker, which allowed for this 91” exposure by tracking the sky to prevent star trails. The relatively cheap Rokinon lens was surprisingly sharp, especially when stopped down.
